On the 29th of January 2024 the Labour Court revoked the Labour Court Rules 2022 and replaced them with the Labour Court Rules 2024 which can be accessed below:

Labour Court Rules 2024

The new rules are effective from the 29th of January 2024.

The main changes are:

  • The insertion of a new Part VI governing virtual hearings and the use of live video links (LVL) in proceedings i.e. hybrid hearings.

  • The amendment of Part IV of the Rules dealing with industrial relations cases whereby the parties are required to exchange submissions and confirm this with the Court.

  • Appeals can be made via the new Labour Court Portal.
