Early Years’ Service Joint Labour Committee – Proposals for Employment Regulation Order

In accordance with section 42A of the Industrial Relations Act 1946 (No. 26 of 1946), the Early Years’ Joint Labour Committee formulated final proposals on 19 October 2026 for the making of an Employment Regulation Order fixing the statutory minimum remuneration and conditions of employment of Early Years Educators, School Age Childcare (SAC) Practitioners, Appointed Lead Educators (Room Leaders), Graduate Appointed Lead Educators (Room Leaders), Appointed School Age Childcare (SAC) Coordinators, Graduate Appointed School Age Childcare (SAC) Coordinators, Deputy/Assistant Managers, Centre Managers and Graduate Centre Managers.

Having had regard to the provisions of section 42B (1) of the Industrial Relations Act 1946, the Early Years’ Service Joint Labour Committee hereby gives notice of these proposals.

Copies of the proposals, at the request of the Joint Labour Committee, are available on the website of the Labour Court at www.labourcourt.ie.

Any person wishing to make representations to the Joint Labour Committee in relation to the proposals should do so in the form of a written submission, by 5pm, on or before 25 November 2026.

Any such representations should be sent by post to The Secretary, Early Years’ Service Joint Labour Committee, Lansdowne House, Lansdowne Road, Dublin 4, or by email to jlcsecretary@enterprise.gov.ie.

Representations received after that date shall not be considered.
